Year 5 Teacher - Redbridge
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Redbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Upper Key Stage 2 pupils, supporting them as they develop independence, resilience, and the academic skills required for success in Year 6.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour. You will create a classroom environment that is calm, inclusive, and motivating, ensuring pupils feel confident to challenge themselves and take pride in their learning.
Assessment will be used effectively to monitor progress and inform planning. You will identify gaps in learning, deliver targeted interventions, and ensure all pupils are supported appropriately, including those with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs. Collaboration with teaching assistants and UKS2 colleagues will be central to the role.
This role is suitable for ECTs with strong Key Stage 2 training or experienced teachers seeking a supportive and collaborative working environment. The school values staff wellbeing and provides access to high-quality CPD and mentoring.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom practice
Maintains high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour
Works effectively as part of a team
