Maths ECT (ECT Support) - Haringey Secondary School
We are working with a school in Haringey who are recruiting for an ambitious Mathematics ECT to join their high-performing STEM faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a research-led environment that consistently achieves in the top 5% nationally for Progress 8.
The Role You will teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with a 20% reduced timetable in your first year to focus on professional development. The role centers on delivering mastery-based lessons while working alongside Lead Practitioners to refine your classroom craft. Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-impact Mathematics lessons within a supportive department
Engaging in weekly 1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions
Contributing to the development of shared resources to manage workload
Tracking student progress and implementing retrieval practice techniques
Participating in the statutory Early Career Framework (ECF) induction program
