About the Role

This role requires a practical and organised individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a range of facilities responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the school site
Ensure the premises are safe, secure, and compliant with regulations
Coordinate contractors, repairs, and maintenance work
Complete and maintain health and safety checks and records
Oversee security, cleaning, and site support services
Manage premises-related budgets and procurement where required
Support emergency procedures and risk management
Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for pupils and staff

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in site management, premises, facilities, or caretaking
Strong knowledge of health and safety and building maintenance
Ability to manage contractors and prioritise workload effectively
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A proactive and reliable approach to site management
Desirable
Experience working within a school or education setting
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Health and safety qualifications such as IOSH or similar
Experience managing improvement projects
