Au pair in Southwark, Job ID J21841
A lovely family based in Southwark, London seeks an Au Pair to help care for their two school-aged children, aged 5 and 8. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and will speak English and Italian. The role involves helping with the morning and afternoon school runs, taking the children safely to and from their school in South Kensington using public transport. A key part of the role will be giving the children extra Italian lessons and speaking Italian with them, helping them learn the language naturally through games, activities, and daily conversation.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, split shift, 8:00 to 9:00, then 15:00 to 19:30. Saturday assistance for a few hours with activities.
Accommodation: A private double bedroom and shared bathroom.
Duties include:
- helping with the morning routine
- taking the children to school using public transport
- collecting the children from school
- preparing healthy dinners for the children
- helping with homework
- preparing school items and belongings for the next day
- giving the children extra Italian lessons
- speaking Italian with the children through games and daily conversation
- organising age-appropriate activities
- carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the children
- keeping the children’s areas clean and organised
The family is looking for someone who can start on 31 August 2026.
