A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Harrow is seeking a committed EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs within its Early Years provision.

The Role
You will work with children in Nursery or Reception who require additional support to access learning and school routines. Many pupils supported in this role have EHCPs or emerging SEN needs.
Your responsibilities will include supporting:
Communication and language development
Social interaction and play
Emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Independence and self-care skills
Support will be provided through a mixture of 1:1 work and small-group activities.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored SEN support aligned with individual learning plans
Support access to the EYFS curriculum
Implement strategies recommended by the SENCo and external professionals
Use visual timetables, routines, and sensory resources
Support transitions throughout the school day
Assist with personal care and toileting where required
Observe and record progress
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
Is calm, patient, and compassionate
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to inclusion and safeguarding
Is eager to develop professionally
