Year 2 Teacher — Lambeth — January 2026 start
A welcoming Lambeth primary is recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join KS1 on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will be part of planning meetings ahead of January 2026, will attend induction in January 2026, and will teach from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher. This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher role is ideal for someone committed to securing strong early outcomes through skilful teaching and close parental partnerships.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 2 Teacher will deliver systematic phonics, guided reading and well-sequenced writing and mathematics lessons. The Year 2 Teacher will identify gaps through formative assessment, run timely interventions and communicate progress to families. The Year 2 Teacher will help lead transition activities into KS2 and contribute to moderation processes before and after January 2026. The Year 2 Teacher will plan prior to January 2026 and teach from January 2026.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
We require a Year 2 Teacher with QTS and recent successful KS1 experience. The Year 2 Teacher should be organised, adaptable and strong at behaviour management. The Year 2 Teacher must be available for pre-term preparation prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Full-Time Year 2 Teacher.
