Science Technician – Ensure Smooth and Safe Delivery of Practical Physics and Chemistry Across Key Stages – Waltham Forest
A large, busy secondary school in Waltham Forest is recruiting an experienced Science Technician to primarily support the Physics and Chemistry practical curriculum from January 2026.
- Science Technician required from January 2026
- Waltham Forest-based school with an expanding Science department.
- Seeking a detail-oriented individual with specialist knowledge of electrical circuits and chemical preparation .
You will be responsible for preparing apparatus for Physics and Chemistry experiments (KS3-KS5), maintaining specialist equipment, and managing the safe storage and preparation of chemical reagents.
Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant experience as a Science Technician, with a technical background in Physics or Chemistry.
- Excellent knowledge of laboratory protocols and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
- Strong organizational skills for efficient stock management and lesson preparation.
- Qualification in a physical science is highly desirable.
