Job Description

Senior FP&A Accountant (12 month FTC)

Your new company
A leading insurance organisation is seeking a talented Senior FP&A Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. The business is undergoing a period of transformation, modernising its planning and reporting capabilities while continuing to deliver strong performance across its operations. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values analytical rigour and continuous improvement.

Your new role
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, offering an immediate or April start. You will play a key role within the FP&A function, delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting and analysis, and supporting ongoing process and system enhancements. The position requires strong technical ability, commercial awareness, and the confidence to partner effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the delivery of annual budgets, forecasts and longer-term planning cycles
  • Producing insightful reporting, analysis and commentary for senior leaders
  • Conducting variance, profitability and scenario analysis to inform decision-making
  • Identifying risks and opportunities and providing evidence-based recommendations
  • Developing and maintaining financial models, dashboards and KPIs
  • Supporting finance transformation initiatives, including system and reporting improvements
  • Contributing to the implementation and testing of new planning and forecasting tools

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience in FP&A or financial analysis. You’ll bring strong Excel capability, with exposure to Power BI, Power Query and dashboarding. Experience within insurance or broader financial services is advantageous but not essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and communicating complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. It is essential that you are able to start in April or earlier - applicants on longer notice period will not be considered.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of £65,000-£75,000 depending on experience. You’ll join a supportive and engaging team during an exciting period of transformation, where your work will directly contribute to the development of improved financial processes and insights. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to deepen your FP&A experience within a reputable financial services organisation-all while benefiting from a healthy work-life balance and a collaborative culture.
