We are excited to present an opportunity for a passionate Year 1 Teacher to join a thriving Independent School in Merton from January 2026 . This is a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role within a school that prides itself on academic excellence, enrichment, and nurturing pupils to become well-rounded individuals.
The Independent School
Situated in the heart of Merton, this Independent School boasts outstanding facilities, a supportive leadership team, and pupils who are enthusiastic and eager to learn. The school promotes both academic and personal growth, offering small class sizes and a rich curriculum. From January 2026 , the appointed Full-Time Year 1 Teacher will be responsible for inspiring pupils and supporting them through their early KS1 journey.
The Year 1 Teacher Role
- Deliver an engaging and creative KS1 curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Track progress effectively and provide personalised support.
- Contribute to the Independent School’s extra-curricular and enrichment programmes.
- Work as part of a collaborative team to uphold the school’s values and ethos.
Requirements
- QTS and experience in KS1.
- A passion for nurturing young learners.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
