Job Summary
Removals HGV Driver — Category C (Class 2)

Comity Recruitment is looking for a Removals HGV Driver — Cat C (Class 2) — for one of its clients.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the HGV removal vehicle and (once trained/if certified) operate the HIAB to lift and re‑park authorised vehicles.
• Carry out removals under TMA 2004and council policy; engage courteously with the public, including in demanding situations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks; follow HGV procedures; report defects/irregularities; look after issued equipment.
• Use operational tech ( smartphone, radio, tachograph ) and keep simple, accurate records.

Quality/KPIs: attendance, complaint handling, quality of lifts, consistent enforcement.

HIAB an advantage — training can be provided
Areas: Haringey & Waltham Forest
Starts: typically 07:00, 08:00 or 10:30(confirmed per booking)
Availability: Shift work Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays — flexibility is essential

Shifts & Hours

• Start times (combined): 07:00 / 08:00 / 10:30(rota‑based; exact time provided with each booking).
• Shift length by assignment:
• Waltham Forest: 9 hours per shift, including 1 hour unpaid lunch .
• Haringey: 12 hours per shift, including 1 hour unpaid lunch .

Pay (rolled‑up PAYE)

Mon–Fri – Basic Pay £18.74 + £2.26Holiday Pay = £21.00

Sat–Sun – Basic Pay £24.98 +£3.02 Holiday Pay = £28.00

“Rolled‑up” means your holiday pay is included within the total hourly rate.

What You’ll Bring

• Essential: Category C (Class 2)licence.
• Desirable: HIAB certificate — training can be provided .
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification
• Good standard of English; strong customer service; numeracy/literacy; ability to write simple reports.
• Comfortable using smartphone/printer/radio/tachograph; willing to follow company policies, QA and Health & Safety procedures.
• DBS check required

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
