The Role
The school is seeking an imaginative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons. You will be responsible for fostering a love for visual expression across a broad range of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media.
At KS3 , you will focus on building foundational skills and art history knowledge, while at KS4 , you will guide students through their GCSE portfolios , encouraging individual themes and high-level technical execution. The department prides itself on a culture of "process over product," helping students develop critical thinking and reflective practices through their sketchbooks.
Person Specification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A strong degree in Fine Art, Design, or a related creative field
Proven experience teaching Art & Design at KS3 and KS4
A diverse personal portfolio demonstrating high-level technical skill
Ability to inspire students of all abilities and backgrounds
Commitment to the school's ethos of creativity, inclusion, and academic progress
