Data Engineer

Robert Half are working with a leading fraud‑prevention organisation to recruit a Mid‑Level Data Engineer on an initial 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Product Innovation team focused on building scalable data solutions using modern cloud technologies.

Role:

• Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines and data architectures.
• Work extensively with Microsoft Fabric , including Data Factory, Lakehouse and Data Warehouse components.
• Develop and optimise ETL processes across cloud‑based and modern data ecosystems.
• Ensure strong data quality, reliability and system performance through testing, validation and optimisation.
• Support data science and AI initiatives by ensuring pipelines and datasets are structured for advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across technology, product, and operational functions to deliver high‑quality data solutions.

Profile:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer within a cloud‑based environment.
• Strong technical capability in SQL, Python or Scala .
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric or other major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Strong understanding of data modelling, pipeline design and best‑practice engineering principles.
• Experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau .
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and optimise data systems and workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
