Are you an experienced and caring SEN TA seeking a role in Havering from January 2026? Would you like to support pupils with additional needs in a setting that emphasises personalised programmes and collaborative practice?
We are recruiting a SEN TA for a welcoming primary school in Havering. The SEN TA will deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions, support classroom access, assist with sensory regulation and liaise with families and external professionals. This SEN TA role starts January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the SEN TA can begin the spring term confident and prepared.

- Contract: Permanent / Part-Time or Full-Time (school dependent)
Main duties
- Carry out planned interventions, monitor progress and provide clear feedback to the SENCo.
- Support pupils in-class to practise and generalise taught skills within whole-class activities.
- Assist with sensory breaks, personal care and behaviour-support routines when required.
- Liaise with external therapists, update records and contribute to multi-disciplinary reviews in Havering.
- Support transitions and prepare handover notes to ensure continuity of provision.
Person specification
- Demonstrable experience supporting pupils with SEND and confidence delivering structured interventions as a SEN TA.
- Calm, flexible and attentive with strong communication skills for working with colleagues and families in Havering.
- Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and training prior to January 2026.
