Lead Developer - SC Cleared (Inside IR35) (IT)
Our Client are looking for an SC cleared Lead Developers / DevOps Engineer to build a platform team to support the application and database teams. There will be some travel required in the first few months of the contract, but that will be expensed. You will have demonstrable experience providing support to most of the technologies listed below as well as supporting more junior team members: General Skills

- Develop and maintain the existing infrastructure including problem resolution and L3 support.
- Complete changes within a legacy environment, while taking ownership of the domain to become a subject matter expert for the service.
- Updated service documentation where necessary.
- Undertake peer reviews.
- Maintaining documentation
- Mentoring and support of team members
- Writing or maintaining guidance which is used by teams working with your systems/platforms.
- Advising on and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

- Stakeholder Management, working with the Leadership and Program management team
- Ensuring that the team is performing efficiently and maintaining code quality and system reliability
- You will be the central point of contact for engineers in your area, ensuring the systems produced are sustainable and meet Digital, Data and Technology strategy.
- Supporting implementation against strategy; leading multiple engineering teams in line with our architecture and professions.
- Planning our workforce and supporting recruitment mentoring as necessary.
- Ensuring the engineering activities undertaken in teams under your supervision are following suitable standards.
- Supporting technical decision making, feeding into roadmaps and overall strategy for the Engineering function in your area. Presenting decisions up and down the organisation clearly.
- Coordinating with other engineering leads to form an overall community, acting as the central point of contact in your area and leading collaborative efforts.
- Ensures adherence to coding standards and best practices. Advises on software development methods and tools.
