Nanny

Hadley Wood, Greater London
Experienced Nanny / Housekeeper: July start in Hadley Wood

We are a warm and busy family based in Hadley Wood, looking for an experienced, organised and proactive nanny/housekeeper to join our household on a 1-year maternity cover contract, starting early July, with a two-week handover with our much-loved long-standing nanny. Potential to extend subject to circumstances.

We have three children aged 11, 9 and 3. The two older children attend school in Potters Bar, and our youngest attends nursery five mornings per week. This is a lovely role for someone who enjoys being part of a family routine and is confident balancing childcare with keeping a household running smoothly.

During school hours, the role will focus primarily on household management and organisation, with childcare responsibilities before and after school.

Typical routine:
• School drop-off for eldest at 8:00am
• Second school drop-off around 8:30am
• Nursery pick-up for our 3-year-old at 12:30pm
• School pick-up for the older children between 4–5pm depending on clubs
Own car is essential for this role.

Responsibilities include:
• School and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups (schools located in Potters Bar)
• Caring for our 3-year-old in the afternoons
• Planning fun activities, play and outings
• Creating engaging days and outings during school holidays
• Managing the children’s schedules, clubs and activities
• Helping the older children with homework
• Cooking healthy family meals (a love of cooking is important)
• Family laundry
• Keeping children’s rooms, school items and belongings organised
• General tidying and household organisation while the children are at school
• Helping ensure the home runs smoothly day-to-day

Working hours:
• Monday–Thursday
• Parents work in the office 7am–7pm, so we are looking for someone reliable who can provide consistent childcare coverage across the day
• Flexibility during school hours when the children are at school
• Fridays not required, as mum works from home

We are looking for someone who:
• Has solid nanny experience with multiple children of different ages
• Is warm, energetic and genuinely enjoys spending time with children
• Is confident planning activities, outings and holiday days
• Is highly organised and proactive, comfortable managing busy schedules
• Enjoys cooking healthy family meals
• Is happy to take on household duties during school hours
• Drives and has their own car (essential for school runs)
• Is confident supporting homework and school routines

This is a lovely role with a welcoming family, ideal for a nanny who enjoys a varied position combining childcare, activity planning and household management.

Start: Early July (with 2-week handover)
Contract: Approximately 1 year maternity cover

We would love to hear from candidates who feel they would be a great fit for our family.
