Music Publishing Partnerships Manager
Location: Hybrid working in London office
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12-month contract
Daily Rate: £550 - £630 per day PAYE (Negotiable)
Summary
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of music publishing and technology, overseeing partner management and engagement with music publishers, collection societies and hubs based in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Responsibilities
- Manage publishing partnerships across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) ensuring effective communication, product understanding and delivery of contractual requirements.
- Support internal data-driven analysis and decision making on publishing-specific strategy / issues
- Partner closely with operations teams to ensure timely and accurate data exchange between music publishing partners and the client
- Triage and resolve partner issues, coordinating internal teams and systems to drive solutions
- Be a source of insights about the music publishing ecosystem and partners
- Support execution of marketing programmes that ladder up to company goals and support music publisher and songwriter priorities
- Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment
- Significant music publishing industry expertise (distinct from music labels)
- Digital music licensing expertise/understanding (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, Amazon)
- Understanding of publishing rights and data exchange in digital markets
- Ability to engage and work with senior-level stakeholders (director level)
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience in music publishing / collective management organisation partner management and/or engagement
- Digital music experience including understanding of digital business models, music publishing rights and music rights data
- Experience developing effective working relationships with broad set of stakeholders
- Experience leading data-driven analysis
- Digital platform experience (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Amazon, Apple)
- Music publisher experience (e.g., Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Chappell, PRS for Music, SACEM)
- Numeracy and comfort interpreting data
