SEND Teaching Assistant in Ruislip

SEND Teaching Assistant position to start ASAP at a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Ruislip!
Working within the support staff team as a SEND TA, you will spend your time:
- Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs or IEPs
- Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies
- Ensuring children with SEND are able to access the full curriculum and can join in any activities available, encouraging them to engage and interact with other children
- Delivering learning interventions to students 1:1 and in small groups, monitoring and analysing the progress they make both academically and socially
- Liaising with class teachers and the SENDCo to plan strategies and interventions for key children based on their progress
- Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
- Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing
This SEND Teaching Assistant position is to work full time Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:45pm) and to last long-term until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent thereafter.
