Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner

GP Practice in the Hornchurch area offering a Lead ANP/ACP position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a well managed practice in the Hornchurch area. The practice has a main site and a branch site and you will be able to work across both, the sites are a few miles apart and easily driven between. The practice are looking for an ANP or ACP to help lead the Nursing team with support from the GP team. You will be working closely with the GPs and practice manager to make decisions regarding clinical matters, practice performance, recruitment, funding and more. In addition to this, you will be working regular clinical sessions and assessing patients on the day. You are required to be experienced within primary care and ideally have already managed or lead a clinical team. You will also need to be an independent Prescriber, and be experienced with Minor Injuries and Minor Illnesses to autonomously assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic cases. In return for your work, the practice offers a Band 8a salary (Outer London), and lots of ongoing support with CPD, such as with an interest area and learning new clinical skills. Key Duties
  • Full time Lead ANP or ACP position in the Hornchurch area
  • Working across two sites
  • Leading a clinical team, assisting the GPs with decision making and staff management
  • Working within a skilled MDT of Nurses, GPs, HCAs and more
  • Autonomously assessing and diagnosing patients with acute and chronic conditions
  • Treating minor ailments (injuries and illnesses)
  • Prescribing medication and supporting the GPs with prescriptions
  • Some home visits may be required

  • £56,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
  • ANP registered with the NMC, or ACP registered with the HCPC
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Experience within primary care
  • Experience with minor injuries and illnesses
  • Experience of managing a team in a Lead/Nurse Manager role
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Local to Hornchurch and happy to travel within the area
