Social Media Executive

They are responsible for building the profile of IG, driving Brand Awareness and Consideration Your role in the Team's Success We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Executive to join our Social Content team at our UK investing and trading platform. This role is perfect for someone passionate about finance and social media who wants to make investing and trading accessible and engaging for our growing community. You will be responsible for transforming our premium content from our Live Trading Show, Investing Podcast and Influencer content into compelling social media content across multiple platforms, while driving organic growth and engagement. What You'll Do Social C ontent Creation- Write compelling post descriptions, captions and develop thumbnails that drives engagement
- Own the “last step” - ensuring you have all elements to be able to post content as per content calendar
- Transform content from Live Trading Show and Investing podcast into engaging social media posts for our community
- Repurpose content to suit platform-specific formats
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager during peak campaign periods to develop and execute compelling material
- Ensure all content aligns with FCA guidelines and financial services regulations
Channel Optimisation & Growth
- Master each platform's unique formats, features, and audience preferences
- Optimise content specifically for each channel's algorithm and best practices
- Knowledge of YouTube SEO best practices (titles, tags, retention strategies) and Shorts optimisation
- Implement strategies to boost organic reach and engagement across all platforms
- Help run A/B test on content formats, posting times, and messaging approaches
- Stay current with platform updates, trends, and best practices. As well as what our competitors are doing.
Requirements
What you'll need for this role- Experience: 2-3 years in social media marketing, preferably in financial services, fintech, or B2C sectors
- Financial Interest: Genuine interest in finance, investing, and financial markets
- Platform Expertise: Proven experience managing accounts across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X
- Content Creation: Strong copywriting skills and experience with visual content creation tools
- Technical Skills: Experience with basic graphic design software
Desirable Skills
- Video editing experience (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or mobile editing apps)
- Understanding of financial services marketing regulations and FCA guidelines
- Experience with live streaming or real-time content creation
- Background in financial services, trading, or investment education
