Bromley, Greater London

Location: Bromley, London
Salary: MPS/UPS (Outer London)
Contract Type: Full-time

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bromley. This is a wonderful opportunity for an Early Years practitioner who is passionate about providing children with a strong and positive start to their educational journey within a nurturing and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Reception class, delivering high-quality teaching in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children’s communication, language, early literacy, numeracy, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development. Creating a classroom environment that is safe, stimulating, and well-organised will be central to your role.

You will use observation and assessment effectively to monitor progress, identify next steps, and tailor learning opportunities to meet individual needs. Supporting children as they develop independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours will be a key focus. You will establish clear routines and expectations to help children feel secure and ready to learn.

Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider Early Years team, you will ensure consistent and high-quality provision. Strong relationships with parents and carers are highly valued, and you will be supported in building positive partnerships that support learning both at school and at home.

  • Experience teaching in Reception or EYFS

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework

  • A caring, patient, and reflective approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and professional development
