About the Role
The Art Technician will work closely with teaching staff to prepare materials and equipment, support students in practical lessons, and maintain an organised and safe art environment. This role is crucial to the smooth running of the Art curriculum and the creative development of students.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing art materials, tools, and resources for practical lessons.
Setting up and clearing classroom and studio spaces before and after lessons.
Maintaining and organising art supplies, including paints, brushes, clay, and other media.
Supporting students under the direction of teachers during practical activities.
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained in the art rooms and storage areas.
Assisting with the display of student artwork and departmental projects.
Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials as required.
Keeping equipment and facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Supporting special projects, exhibitions, and school events related to art.
Contributing to departmental administration and record-keeping as needed.
Candidate Requirements
