Premises Officer - Kingston
A well-established and busy secondary school in Kingston is seeking a reliable, organised, and experienced Premises Officer to join their facilities management team. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP, providing vital support to ensure the school site is safe, operational, and well-maintained.
About the Role
As the Premises Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and general operation of the school site. You will work closely with the Site Manager and caretaking team to maintain a welcoming, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This role involves a mix of practical maintenance tasks, health and safety oversight, and event support. The successful candidate must be proactive, hands-on, and able to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Undertake minor maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the site
• Assist with health and safety compliance, reporting hazards, and ensuring risk assessments are followed
• Coordinate room setups for lessons, meetings, and school events
• Manage deliveries, waste disposal, and storage of equipment
• Support larger projects and renovations as required
• Provide guidance to other site staff and liaise with contractors when needed
