Indirect Tax Contractor
London, hybrid working model
£600 - £700 per day (3 days per week)
A growing insurance business is seeking indirect tax support on a temporary basis. This role is purposed to manage indirect tax (VAT & IPT) compliance obligations, reporting to the Head of Tax with a dotted line to a senior finance stakeholder, managing with outsourced advisors and relations with tax authorities.
Responsibilities will include:
- preparation of VAT returns
- review IPT returns
- raising and dealing with all queries relating to VAT payments
- review and test Indirect Tax reporting processes and systems and recommend best practice, overseeing any improvements and controls implementation
- support with transfer pricing
The successful candidate:
- ACA/CTA qualification
- Demonstrable, hands on experience with indirect tax compliance and advisory, working with PESMs
- Experience within the insurance sector and working with insurance premium taxes advantageous
