Wayman Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Redbridge. The Teaching Assistant will support class teachers by delivering intervention programmes, supporting inclusion, assisting with assessment activities and helping to maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment. This Teaching Assistant role starts January 2026, with induction and handover sessions in the weeks before January 2026.

- Contract: Permanent / Part-Time or Full-Time (school dependent)
Main duties
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions and track pupil progress.
- Support whole-class teaching by scaffolding activities and modelling strategies to pupils.
- Help prepare teaching resources, maintain learning areas and support school routines in Redbridge.
- Assist with pastoral duties, supervise playgrounds and support transitions between lessons.
- Keep accurate records and contribute to review meetings with teachers and leaders.
Person specification
- Prior experience supporting pupils in classrooms, with confidence delivering interventions as a Teaching Assistant.
- Calm, patient and organised with strong communication skills for working with staff and families in Redbridge.
- Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and handover prior to January 2026.
