We are looking for a passionate Pizzaiolo ( Pizza Chef)  to be part of our team for our new restaurant, Bambini at  The Hoxton, Shoreditch

The Hoxton, Shoreditch is where The Hoxton was born. Originally a car park, it now offers 210 rooms, The Apartment, our meetings & events concept, and two restaurants, Llama Inn and Bambini.

Il Bambini Club is coming to London! Born in Paris and inspired by the joy and generosity of Italian living, Bambini is a vibrant trattoria that blends playful elegance with a sunny, festive spirit. Known for its iconic pizza oven, live music, and bold design, it’s a joyful escape into the world of colourful aperitivos, shared feasts, and carefree celebration. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and quality standards
• Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to order, ensuring consistency and presentation
• Operate and maintain pizza ovens, including wood-fired ovens
• Monitor inventory and ensure freshness of ingredients
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Support the Head Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team.
• Create, execute, and produce top-notch food with a constant eye on the highest quality standards, presentation, and flavour.
• Nurture and develop the talent of the kitchen team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them and where they can be themselves.
• Make sure things are running without a hitch, orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed, our service is smooth as chipotle butter, and our food hygiene standards are sky-high.
• Work with our Head Chef to craft proper, authentic pizzas. Think bold flavour combinations, locally sourced ingredients, and seasonal twists that keep things fresh and full of character.
• Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.
• Think outside the box and drive standards, always striving to find efficient solutions whilst maintaining the quality and integrity of the menu.
• Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You’ll lead your team by example, keeping them involved and motivated; helping them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hox experiences for our guests and comfortable turning to you with questions.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

• Proven experience as a pizzaiolo or pizza chef
• Knowledge of traditional pizza-making techniques
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

• Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
• You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.

• Previous experience as a Pizza Chef in a busy, bustling environment with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority.
• You’ve got solid experience in pizza production - from perfecting dough preparation to finishing pizzas in a gas oven, all while keeping quality front and centre.
• Ability to take ownership of important issues, solve problems and make effective decisions.
