Senior Planner New Staff Role!
Location: Farringdon

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support the successful delivery of major infrastructure and construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established project delivery environment working on high-profile schemes across London and the South East.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ASTA Powerproject, excellent NEC contract knowledge especially NEC 4, and a proven background in developing, managing, and reporting project programmes across complex infrastructure and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using ASTA Powerproject
Produce baseline programmes, progress updates, recovery programmes, and look-ahead schedules
Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, design teams, and site management to ensure programme alignment and successful delivery
Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays, and opportunities for programme improvement
Carry out critical path analysis and provide mitigation strategies where required
Support tender planning and pre-construction activities, including sequencing and methodology reviews
Prepare and present programme reports for internal and client meetings
Ensure programmes comply with contract requirements, milestones, and reporting obligations
Manage change control and assess programme impacts associated with variations and compensation events
Support claims preparation and extension of time assessments under NEC contracts especially NEC 4
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within infrastructure or construction sectors
Strong infrastructure project background is essential
Advanced proficiency in ASTA Powerproject is essential
Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC Contracts
Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, build, commercial, or complex engineering projects especially NEC 4
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and project controls
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong reporting and presentation abilities
Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Highly Desirable Experience
Previous experience delivering healthcare, hospital, NHS, medical, or blue-light sector construction projects
Experience working within live operational or critical environments
Exposure to healthcare infrastructure, refurbishment, or technically complex schemes would be advantageous
Desirable Qualifications
Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
Professional membership with organisations such as the Association for Project Management or Chartered Institute of Building
Experience working within a main contractor or tier-one contractor environment
