Sociology Teacher
You would be working in a successful Social Sciences department teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level. The department is highly regarded within the school and has a strong track record of excellent academic outcomes and student engagement.
Students are encouraged to develop analytical thinking, research skills and evaluative writing through a broad and engaging curriculum covering education, crime and deviance, families, culture and social inequality. Lessons are discussion-based and designed to encourage independent thinking and intellectual curiosity.
The department works collaboratively to deliver high-quality lessons and provide targeted support to students across all ability levels. Teachers are encouraged to innovate within the classroom and contribute positively to enrichment opportunities and wider school life.
The School provides excellent CPD opportunities, strong mentoring support for ECTs and clear progression pathways for experienced teachers. Staff wellbeing and professional development are highly valued throughout the school community.
