Operations Analyst - GLOSS

Location: London (hybrid)

Rate: £300-£500 per day Inside IR35

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join our Equities Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting post-trade processing, reconciliation, and settlement functions for cash equity transactions, ensuring timely and accurate trade life cycle management in a fast-paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade capture, matching, and settlement for cash equities across multiple markets.

• Monitor and resolve trade discrepancies, settlement exceptions, and fails to ensure smooth operational flow.

• Maintain accurate trade records and ensure data integrity within Broadridge Gloss and other internal systems.

• Liaise with Front Office, Middle Office, counterparties, and custodians to investigate and resolve operational breaks.

• Perform daily reconciliations between internal systems and external counterparties.

• Support the implementation of new processes, workflows, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control standards.

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting and audit requests as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in an Operations or Middle Office role, preferably within an investment bank or broker-dealer.

• Proven experience with cash equities post-trade processes (trade capture, matching, settlement, reconciliation).

• Hands-on experience with Broadridge Gloss is essential.

• Strong understanding of trade life cycle, settlement cycles (T+1/T+2), and market infrastructures.

• Familiarity with key market participants (custodians, clearing houses, counterparties).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Excel and exposure to automation or reporting tools (eg, VBA, Alteryx, Power BI) is an asset.
