School Business Manager (SBM) - Ambitious Outstanding Secondary School - Haringey, London

School Business Manager (SBM)

An Outstanding secondary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial, operational and administrative functions of the school.

The successful candidate will lead on financial planning, budget management, resource allocation and ensuring value for money across all areas of the school. You will also oversee HR processes, premises management, health and safety and compliance, working closely with the Headteacher and governors to support the school’s strategic vision.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple areas effectively. You will be responsible for leading a team of support staff and ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with school priorities.

You will play a crucial role in supporting school improvement by ensuring that resources are used effectively to enhance teaching and learning. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders are essential.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in business, finance or management
• Experience in financial and operational management (school experience desirable)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of compliance, HR and health & safety processes
