An exceptional Year 1 Teacher opportunity is available at an Outstanding primary in Lambeth , commencing January 2026 . This is a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher role, and the successful Year 1 Teacher will receive a full induction package starting before January 2026 and ongoing mentoring throughout the year. The Year 1 Teacher will join a school that blends high expectations with warmth and creativity, and that expects the Year 1 Teacher appointed to help shape the Key Stage 1 curriculum from January 2026 .

Year 1 Teacher responsibilities

• As the Year 1 Teacher , you will plan, deliver and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons that build strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing and number.
• The Year 1 Teacher will use assessment to inform teaching and run targeted interventions.
• The Year 1 Teacher will develop strong relationships with families and report progress in regular feedback meetings.
• The Year 1 Teacher will contribute to enrichment activities, pupil leadership and whole-school initiatives.

Year 1 Teacher requirements

• QTS (or equivalent) and recent KS1 experience as a Year 1 Teacher .
• Confident phonics practice and evidence of improving outcomes as a Year 1 Teacher .
• Strong classroom management and collaborative approach as a Year 1 Teacher .

Contract & start details
This is a Full-Time Year 1 Teacher post starting January 2026 . The Full-Time Year 1 Teacher will begin pre-term planning and induction in the weeks before January 2026 , and will be teaching full-time from January 2026 onward.
