An Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Tower Hamlets (ages 11–18) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher (ECT) to join their successful Science Department from September.

The Science department is well resourced with modern laboratories and specialist equipment. Teachers collaborate closely to deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts.
ECTs are supported through a comprehensive induction programme that includes mentoring from experienced colleagues, regular training sessions and opportunities to observe outstanding teaching practice.
The Role
As a Science ECT, you will:
• Deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Support the department’s strong focus on practical investigation and scientific enquiry.
• Participate in enrichment opportunities such as science clubs and STEM activities.
• Benefit from structured mentoring and support throughout your early teaching career.
Requirements
• Is completing their PGCE or equivalent qualification and holds QTS.
• Has a genuine passion for Science education.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Is committed to maintaining high expectations for all students.
• Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive department.
