Responsibilities of a Year 6 Teacher:

- Deliver high-quality teaching of the Key Stage 2 curriculum , ensuring pupils are fully prepared for SATs and secondary school transition.

- Provide strong pastoral support , promoting resilience, independence, and teamwork among pupils.

- Teach upper KS2 content, including advanced maths (fractions, ratio, statistics), extended writing, and reading comprehension skills.

- Assess and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.

- Work in close partnership with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Year 6 Teacher Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and strong KS2 teaching experience.

- A proven track record of success in teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2.

- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons.

- A reflective, adaptable, and resilient approach to teaching.

- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusion.

- Passionate about helping children achieve their best, both academically and personally.
