Site Assistant - Sutton
A well-established and vibrant secondary school in Sutton is seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Site Assistant to join their facilities team. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP, providing practical support to ensure the school site is safe, well-maintained, and operational.
About the Role
As a Site Assistant, you will support the Site Manager and caretaking team in the day-to-day upkeep and smooth running of the school. Your responsibilities will include assisting with minor maintenance, health and safety checks, room setups, and general site support. The role requires a hands-on approach, flexibility, and the ability to respond to issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily inspections of the buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs
• Support the setup of rooms, halls, and facilities for lessons, meetings, and school events
• Help manage deliveries, waste disposal, and storage of equipment
• Report maintenance issues and support larger site projects as required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies
