We’re iD Mobile, one of the UK’s leading mobile virtual network operators. We launched in May 2015 and have over 2.6 million Pay Monthly customers. We’re pretty sure our success has a lot to do with our wide range of feature-packed plans. We offer everything from super-value Pay-as-you-go and SIM-only deals, right up to the latest smartphones from the big-name manufacturers. We’re delighted about our success so far and have very ambitious plans for the future.
iD Mobile is an exciting place to work. We’re a relatively young and dynamic start-up, and we value innovation, imagination, and creativity. If you’ve got a great idea, we’ll help you run with it. We’re passionate about finding new ways to address our customers’ needs. We’re a little different to other start-ups, though, because we’re part of Currys PLC, Europe's leading electrical and mobile retailer. So, while iD Mobile has only been going for a few years, we’re part of a much bigger family. The SIMO Trading Manager is responsible for driving SIMO customer acquisition and profitability across all channels to market, including Currys, affiliate partners and iDmobile.co.uk. - Set the direction for the product sub-categories across the full SIMO portfolio, including Postpay SIMO (1, 12 and 24 month), and Prepay/Pay Now SIMO (no contract)
- Work with Commercial/ Finance on accurate profitability assumptions that feed into the Trading strategy
- Work closely with the Go To Market and channel teams, including Currys, to deliver SIMO initiatives, optimising performance for total group, ensuring we act as One Business
- Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly insight to understand key drivers/levers of performance, including competitor and market share analysis, to optimise Trading performance and strategy
- Drive continuous improvement across trading processes, insight and reporting — identifying opportunities to work more efficiently and leveraging new technologies, including AI, to build better ways of working and free up capacity for higher-value commercial activity
- Closely monitor competitor and market trends, identifying new customer propositions and understanding the potential commercial impact to iD
- Identify commercial gaps and incremental revenue opportunities across the SIMO portfolio, build robust business cases, and lead delivery from conception through to execution
- Manage, coach and develop the SIMO Trading analyst who is a direct report to this role
