The Best Connection are working with a well-established client, who have an excellent opportunity for an experienced 7.5 Tonne driver, for work ASAP in Woodford Green! This is a temporary position but with the recent expansion of the business, this is excellent opportunity for the right candidate!

The Role

We are looking for someone who can provide excellent customer service by ensuring in full- and on-time deliveries to the customer. The driver will be delivering a variety of materials such as wall panels, work tops and flooring products, so some heavy lifting will be required. Additional duties include:

Strap load using correct instructions and guidelines provided by company and training
Carry out daily vehicle/forklift checks prior to use and report any defects to line Manager
Keep in constant communication of any issues or delays which could affect service levels
Ensuring all transport related documentation is compliant with current legislation such as WTD/Taco Graph
Check goods received for damage or discrepancies and report to line manager
Assist with warehouse duties as required

Pay

£17 per hour
Weekly pay
Paid PAYE
The Ideal Candidate

Due to the nature of this role, any prior experience will be greatly preferred. Additionally, we are looking for someone with a passion for customer service, who enjoys interacting with the public and has great communication skills.

Driver Requirements

Experience of strapping loads
Good numeracy & literacy skills
Full & Clean Driving Licence
HGV Cat C (Class 2) licence
