About the role
The Year 1 Teacher will plan engaging, structured lessons that support early development. The Year 1 Teacher will assess regularly, adapt planning and work closely with TAs to deliver targeted small-group support across Brent.
Key responsibilities
Deliver well-planned Year 1 lessons and daily phonics.
Run small-group reading and number sessions to accelerate progress.
Use assessment to inform planning and identify next steps.
Collaborate with colleagues on KS1 curriculum development.
Maintain strong communication with families.
Person specification
Qualified teacher with strong EYFS/KS1 experience.
Skilled in phonics, early assessment and behaviour management.
Ready to begin January 2026 with pre-start induction.
