Are you an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher searching for a rewarding KS1 role from January 2026? A nurturing primary school in Brent is seeking a Year 1 Teacher to lead early reading, phonics and number skills within a supportive team.
The Year 1 Teacher role starts January 2026, with full induction and handover arranged before January 2026. The successful Year 1 Teacher will deliver engaging phonics and guided reading sessions, develop early writing and maths skills, and run targeted intervention groups.

About the role
The Year 1 Teacher will plan engaging, structured lessons that support early development. The Year 1 Teacher will assess regularly, adapt planning and work closely with TAs to deliver targeted small-group support across Brent.
Key responsibilities
Deliver well-planned Year 1 lessons and daily phonics.
Run small-group reading and number sessions to accelerate progress.
Use assessment to inform planning and identify next steps.
Collaborate with colleagues on KS1 curriculum development.
Maintain strong communication with families.
Person specification
Qualified teacher with strong EYFS/KS1 experience.
Skilled in phonics, early assessment and behaviour management.
Ready to begin January 2026 with pre-start induction.
