The Opportunity & Role Profile
An exciting opportunity for a strategic School Business Manager to join a forward-thinking primary school in Islington. You will work closely with the Headteacher to manage the non-teaching aspects of the school, ensuring financial stability and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Financial Oversight: Managing the school’s annual budget, performing long-term financial forecasting, and overseeing all procurement and audit processes.
Operational Leadership: Leading the administrative, site, and catering teams to ensure the school environment is safe, efficient, and well-resourced.
Strategic Planning: Contributing to the School Improvement Plan by identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing income-generation projects.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Strong background in finance or business management (CSBM/DSBM qualification preferred). Previous experience in an SBM role is highly desirable.
Salary: Competitive salary on the local government scale with Inner London weighting.
Support: A dedicated administrative team and a supportive, community-focused Governing Body.
