Design Technology Teacher – Well-equipped and creative secondary school – Tower Hamlets
A creative and forward-thinking secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a full-time Design and Technology Teacher from January 2026. This is a permanent position in a school with outstanding facilities and a collaborative design faculty.
- Design Technology Teacher required from January 2026
- Focus on product design, engineering and CAD/CAM
- Innovative school environment with excellent DT labs
You will teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on product design, materials, sustainability, and engineering principles. The department promotes project-based learning and supports students to use both traditional techniques and modern digital fabrication methods. Opportunities exist to contribute to national competitions, STEM fairs and enterprise days.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS in Design Technology or related subject
- Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
- Strong knowledge of CAD, CAM and workshop safety
- Legal right to work in the UK

Design Technology is a popular subject, with increasing uptake at GCSE and enrichment activities that extend learning beyond the classroom.
