We are delighted to invite applications for the role of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant at our thriving primary school in Ealing, West London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and professional individual to join our supportive Early Years team and play a key role in the education and development of children during their crucial first years at school.
Our school serves a diverse and vibrant community, and we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, welcoming, and nurturing environment. We believe that the earliest years of education lay the foundation for lifelong learning, and we are committed to providing every child with the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. We are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant who shares our commitment to excellence in early years education and is passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning from the very start.
Role Overview

In this role, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment where children feel confident to explore, experiment, and learn. You will work both with individual children and small groups to provide tailored support, reinforce learning objectives, and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
The ideal candidate will understand that learning at this stage is primarily play-based and will be able to facilitate activities that promote problem-solving, creativity, communication, and early literacy and numeracy skills. Encouraging curiosity, exploration, and creativity in learning
Observing, recording, and reporting on children’s progress and achievements to the class teacher
Helping to maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment
Supporting children during daily routines such as arrivals, transitions, snack times, and toileting
Supporting children with additional needs under the guidance of the class teacher or SENCo
Collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
Maintaining professional standards and contributing positively to the ethos of the school
The Ideal Candidate

A calm, positive, and nurturing approach
A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
A relevant early years or childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential for candidates with practical experience and a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
