IT Technician | Ealing
A well-resourced school in Ealing is looking for a reliable and technically confident IT Technician to join the team from January 2026. The successful IT Technician will provide frontline support for staff and pupils, maintain the school network and devices, and support digital learning initiatives across the Ealing campus. This IT Technician post begins January 2026, with induction and handover activity scheduled in the weeks leading into January 2026 so the IT Technician can be operational for the spring term.

• IT Technician to manage daily support, device rollout and classroom systems
The IT Technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts, deploy updates and assist with classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards and tablets. The IT Technician will work closely with the leadership team to prioritise IT improvements and ensure secure, reliable systems for teaching and administration across Ealing.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for staff and students, resolving incidents and service requests.
- Maintain and update Windows/Mac devices, manage software licensing and perform routine backups.
- Support network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues and liaise with ISPs or contractors.
- Deploy and configure classroom hardware (projectors, interactive panels, tablets) and help teachers use tech effectively.
- Keep accurate asset records, manage spare stock and assist with device rollout and returns.
Person specification
- Proven experience in IT support or as an IT Technician with confidence across devices and basic networking.
- Good working knowledge of common educational platforms, user-account management and IT security basics.
- Strong problem-solving skills, patient communicator and able to prioritise competing requests across Ealing.
- Organised, proactive and available to begin January 2026, with the ability to attend induction sessions before January 2026.
- Comfortable working on-site across the Ealing premises and liaising with staff at all levels.
