English Teacher Role - Newham PRU - ASAP
We are recruiting a dedicated English Teacher for a specialized PRU in Newham to support students who need a fresh start in education.
About the Role Starting this F ebruary half-term and running through to July 2026, this full-time position focuses on delivering the English Language GCSE curriculum. You will be working with students who have complex learning needs and significant gaps in their understanding, requiring a teacher who can adapt the curriculum with creativity and empathy.
About the School This Newham-based PRU provides a safe, alternative learning environment for students aged 11–16. The school prides itself on its ability to re-engage learners who have faced barriers in mainstream settings. It is a challenging but immensely rewarding environment where building strong, transformative relationships is at the heart of everything.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality GCSE English Language lessons tailored to individual learning levels.
Bridge significant gaps in student understanding through highly adapted curriculum delivery.
Build trust and rapport with students who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Excellent understanding of the English Language GCSE specifications.
Right to work in the UK. Note: This school cannot offer visa sponsorship.
Salary M1 – UPS3 (£40,317 – £62,496) Pro-rata.
