SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary school pupils in schools across the Camden area. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and is open to flexible, day-to-day cover work.
The successful candidate will work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs, providing both one-to-one and small group support. You will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and engage positively with learning in a supportive and structured environment.
A strong element of the role involves working collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies, follow EHCPs, and adapt approaches to meet individual pupil needs. You should feel confident communicating observations and contributing to a consistent support plan for each child.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with primary school-aged children and who understands the importance of flexibility, reliability, and professionalism when working in different school settings. Being open to day-to-day cover is essential, as the role may involve supporting different pupils and classes.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
Experience working closely with SENCOs and teaching staff
A flexible approach and availability for day-to-day cover work
In return, we offer flexible working opportunities, competitive daily rates, and the chance to work in a range of welcoming and inclusive Camden primary schools. This is a rewarding opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is committed to making a positive difference in children’s education.
