Learning & Development Manager (12 Month FTC)

The Role
Reporting to Head of Learning, Performance & Development, Stephen 👋
This role is to support the Head of L,P&D in ensuring that we meet the business needs for development and in turn support the business achieve their goals through measured L&D interventions. The role is to focus on a tech-driven solutions and utilise our internal Learning Management System (LMS) to drive a culture of self-learning and skills based development. You’ll lead a team of engaged L&D professionals, promoting a positive work environment based on autonomy, proactive behaviour, and continuous improvement. You will ensure that we meet our training obligations through robust record management and completion rates of companywide training and identify potential risks. You’ll leverage data insights to drive continuous improvement, celebrate success and shape improvement plans

What you’ll be getting up to in this role:
Manage, mentor, coach and lead a team of L&D trainers to ensure they have the skills and abilities to develop and deliver high standard learning interventions
Define a clear vision, set KPIs, and manage team performance to ensure alignment with business goals and best practices in learning.
Align L&D interventions and objectives to business goals and emerging external developments in learning approaches and best practices
Work with various departments to identify learning needs, ensuring timely, relevant, and aligned solutions that support departmental goals.
Reduce business risk through process mapping, ensure compliance with robust record management, and track company-wide training completion
Develop and manage learning resources and ensure that those created by the department meet a high standard and are regularly audited to maintain/improve relevance and impact
Use data to track and analyse the impact of the team and learning interventions and leverage this insight to improve the learning outcomes
Optimise the use and effectiveness of internal LMS to support and drive a culture of self-leaning and skills-based development
Oversee interventions that address regulatory and compliance based requirements and ensure all employees complete and understand our standards
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and regularly communicate the benefits and progress of the L&D function demonstrating how these align to the company goals.
Identify skills and knowledge gaps and utilise tools and seek innovative and efficient ways to resolve
To be a champion of change in the business and role model customer service excellence in theirs and the teams actions
Own, develop and enact the L&D strategy and create plans that make positive changes to the business Support the development of our Leadership community through the creation and delivery of learning interventions.
Ensure the consistency and success of third parties we support through tailored learning interventions maintaining a productive relationship to drive continuous improvements
Lead on recruitment for the team inclusive of design and deciphering qualifying metrics and regularly review the team headcount
