OverviewAre you an experienced Motor Claims Handler with expertise in both personal injury and credit hire claims?
Join our team as a Senior Motor Claims Handler, where you'll manage complex motor claims and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our commercial customers.
You'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, participate in client-facing meetings, and contribute to the success of our dedicated team.
How you'll make an impactIn this role, you'll manage a portfolio of complex motor claims, including motor damage, credit hire, and personal injury claims, from first notification to settlement. You'll make key decisions on fraud, quantum, and liability, and manage cases through multi-track litigation. You'll also work closely with clients, brokers, suppliers, claimants, and their representatives, using a variety of communication methods such as phone and email.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Proactively handling motor damage, credit hire, and personal injury claims, including OICP and MOJ Portal claims.
- Managing non-portal claims and investigating potentially fraudulent cases.
- Conducting liability assessments and applying strategies to mitigate claim outcomes.
- Collaborating with panel solicitors and coaching them through the litigation process when necessary.
- Delivering outstanding customer service and handling complaints effectively.
- Acting as a mentor to less experienced team members.
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- Extensive experience in handling motor damage, credit hire, and personal injury claims.
- Strong knowledge of insurance principles and proactive claims handling.
- A confident understanding of the litigation process and the ability to guide others through it.
- Experience in identifying and managing potentially fraudulent claims.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain decisions clearly and logically.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to conscientious file handling.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to mentor and support your team.
- Elgibility to work in the UK.
