Salesforce Developer (IT)
Position : Salesforce Developer Day Rate : 350 GBP/Day (Outside IR35) Duration : 6 Months to Start Location & Travel : London / Manchester / Portsmouth / Glasgow ( Weekly 3 days at Office) Job Description Main purpose of role:
- Responsible for designing, developing and implementing high-quality Salesforce solutions that align with strategic objectives and the long-term platform vision.
- Acts as a senior technical contributor, providing depth of expertise, strong delivery capability and pragmatic problem-solving across the Salesforce platform.
- Design and develop robust Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations and other Salesforce ecosystem technologies, in line with agreed architectural standards.
- Deliver business change on the Salesforce platform in alignment with agreed priorities, roadmap and delivery plans.
- Produce clear and accurate technical documentation, including design notes, configuration details and deployment considerations.
- Support and mentor less experienced developers through pairing, knowledge sharing and informal guidance, without formal line-management responsibility.
- Ensure Salesforce support activity is delivered within agreed SLAs, taking ownership of complex or high-impact incidents when required.
- Contribute to the impact analysis of Salesforce seasonal releases (Spring, Summer, Winter), identifying potential impacts and supporting adoption of relevant new features.
- Monitor solution effectiveness and adoption, identifying improvement opportunities.
- Take ownership of difficult technical problems through to resolution.
- Effectively prioritise workload and manage competing demands.
- Identify risks early and raise them appropriately to the Lead Salesforce Developer or delivery team.
- Lead Salesforce Developer
- Work in close partnership to implement agreed designs and architectural direction.
- Provide feedback, alternative options and technical insight to support sound decision-making
- Escalate risks, constraints and technical concerns in a timely and constructive way.
- DevOps Direct Team
- 3-5+ years hands-on Salesforce development experience delivering production solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Advanced proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce and SOQL.
- Experience working within established architectural standards and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket or similar).
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and structured release management.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely within a delivery team.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a continuous learning mindset.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification preferred
