➡️ As an Associate Director of Arboriculture and Forestry , you’ll be responsible for the continuing development, implementation and management of arboriculture advice and surveys within the Landscape and Arboricultural team across a wide range of project stages and types

Grade: Associate Director
In this role, you will:
➡️ Manage, develop and support the wider arboricultural team on a national scale
➡️ Submission of clear arboricultural surveying pricing proposals to a variety of projects
➡️ Ensuring the delivery of comprehensive arboricultural reports, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements within tight time-frames to meet client requirements
➡️ Contribute towards EIA assessments, including a range of documents
➡️ Providing technical arboricultural solutions in a design and build environment
➡️ Work with a range of disciplines within Jacobs and with outside consultants
➡️ Contribute new innovative ideas, materials, research and learnings to the team, as part of your management and project work
➡️ Support both the landscape, ecology and other discipline teams within Jacobs
➡️ Manage arboricultural sub-contractors as part of the arboricultural offering
Here's what you'll need
✅ Chartered Arboriculturist with The Institute of Chartered Foresters or equivalent
✅ Have an in depth understanding of BS 5837:2012 and BS3998: 2010 and Knowledge of Streetworks UK: National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) Volume 4
✅ Understanding of National Planning Policy Framework (Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, 2014) in relation to trees essential
✅ Experience of managing teams on a national scale within a multi-disciplinary environment
✅ Familiarity with CAD and digital survey hardware and software, including GIS and an interest to develop this further
✅ High standard of report writing skills, and the ability to review other members of the arboriculture teams deliverables
✅ Site visits and survey work forms part of the role, sometimes in more remote locations, therefore a driving license is essential for this role
Ideally, you'll also have:
✅ Experience in submitting arboricultural surveying pricing proposals for large scale infrastructure projects
✅ Experience of woodland management an advantage
✅ Experience or additional qualifications in ecology an advantage
✅ Experience of working on large scale infrastructure projects
