Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant – ASD Base
Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £104 per day
Contract: Full time, term time only
About the School:

Pertemps Education are recruiting on behalf of a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Lambeth, committed to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their specialist provision. The schools Early Years ASD Base provides a safe, structured, and stimulating environment where children can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the schools ASD Base team. The successful candidate will support young children with ASD in accessing the curriculum, developing communication skills, and building confidence in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual children’s needs.
Assist with behaviour management strategies and support social-emotional development.
Help prepare and adapt classroom resources to meet children’s specific needs.
Observe and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SEN team.
Promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.Person Specification:

Experience working with Early Years children, ideally within an ASD provision.
Understanding of ASD and strategies to support children with additional needs.
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with strong communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
