Visual Merchandising Manager

RIXO was founded from a passion for vintage fashion, timeless design, and empowering women through what they wear. As we continue to grow globally, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Visual Merchandising Manager to lead and elevate our VM strategy both in-store and online.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a visionary and highly organised Visual Merchandising Manager to join our creative team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will be responsible for setting and executing the brand’s visual direction across retail stores, windows, online platforms, and key events. You will lead the development and delivery of inspiring and consistent VM standards globally, while mentoring and upskilling the wider retail teams to be self-sufficient and creatively empowered to execute the creative vision for product in store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute monthly visual merchandising direction aligned with brand and trading priorities through Video and VM playbook.
- Act as brand guardian across all physical and digital VM touchpoints.
- Collaborate with design, creative, brand marketing, retail, and e-commerce teams to ensure cohesive brand storytelling.
Team Development
- Train, mentor, and upskill the wider retail teams to develop local ownership and confidence.
- Provide clear visual guidelines and toolkits that support execution consistency across locations Encourage and facilitate creative input from store teams to maintain engagement and pride in presentation.
In-Store Visual Merchandising
- Own the execution of all window installations, in-store displays, and product zoning.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of store standards across all RIXO locations.
- Plan and deliver creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, pop-ups, and brand events
Brand Guidelines & Content
- Create engaging and comprehensive visual standards documents/videos and training content.
- Continuously evolve and refine VM guidelines based on store feedback and performance.
- Share monthly VM updates with teams via engaging formats that drive clarity and excitement.
Prop & Asset Management
- Manage VM props, installations, and toolkit assets, ensuring careful storage, crating, and reusability.
- Coordinate logistics for prop movement across multiple locations and events.
Online & Digital
- Lead on visual content for online retail – product merchandising curation on key edit pages and new in.
- Ensure online visual standards align with in-store experience and brand tone.
- Partner with e-commerce and creative teams on monthly updates and seasonal refreshes.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years' experience in a strategic VM leadership role within a premium/luxury retail brand.
- Experience managing and training in-store teams across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to combine creative thinking with commercial sensibility.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in visual presentation tools preferred.
- Willingness to work early mornings, late nights, and occasional overnights as required.
- Flexibility to travel to stores in New York, Ireland, Paris, and other future markets.
