Consultant, Supply Chain and Operations

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain & Operations Consultant to join our Operations Team at a pivotal moment of growth and investment and be part of a community of like-minded consultants.
The role:
As a Supply Chain & Operations Consultant within BearingPoint UK, you will find yourself at the very heart of project delivery for our national and international clients, solving complex problems and delivering meaningful client results as part of genuinely transformational supply chain and operations projects.
Being part of our Operations team offers you the chance to play a key part in our incredibly diverse range of projects from strategy, through design, to implementation and go-live. You could be designing the global network for an international manufacturer, building planning tools for household name UK retailers, or automating large scale distribution centres.
As a Consultant, you’ll join our vibrant Core Consulting Team (CCT), a dynamic community at BearingPoint designed to accelerate your growth. Through the CCT, you’ll gain access to exclusive training programs, knowledge-sharing sessions, and a variety of social events that foster collaboration and connection across the firm.
Who and what are we looking for?
We are looking for talented individuals with a passion for solving complex supply chain & operations problems. You must have strong analytical and core technical skills and alongside your supply chain knowledge you should be proactive, confident, and adaptable.
As most of our projects rely on data, it is essential to the role that the successful candidate can handle and analyse large datasets. Where required, the data will be used to model different scenarios.
You will have prior Supply Chain knowledge and will be able to draw from this experience in supporting the development of client solutions.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in Supply Chain Industry or Supply Chain consultancy, in particular experience of network modelling manufacturing planning and warehouse modelling is of interest
Knowledgeable of key Supply Chain management concepts
Experience and proficiency in conducting analysis or modelling in Excel and / or SQL
Subject matter expertise in at least one Supply Chain area (e.g. Planning, Transport, Logistics, Network Design …)
Experience in delivering projects or projects workstreams
Proven analytical capability data analytics (e.g. SQL, Python, R, VBA, Machine Learning) and visualisation tools. (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Problem solving skills - you'll be creative, confident and resilient, able to tackle challenges head-on and develop and drive solutions.
Adaptable - we operate in a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to be adaptable and be able to pivot quickly if priorities change. You’ll need to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Experience in Manufacturing or Retail
