The Role & Responsibilities Supporting the Head of English, you will deliver high-quality instruction across KS3 and KS4 that allows students to master complex texts and sophisticated rhetoric.

• Curriculum Delivery: Teaching English Literature and Language across KS3 and KS4, focusing on analytical essay writing and critical theory.

• Mentoring & Growth: Participating in weekly 1:1 sessions with a lead practitioner to refine your pedagogical techniques and subject knowledge.

• Resource Collaboration: Accessing a fully centralized bank of high-quality resources, allowing you to focus on delivery rather than planning from scratch.

• Extracurricular Impact: Leading the school’s prestigious Debating Society or student-led literary magazine.

Requirements

• Degree: A 2:1 or above in English Literature or a related field.

• QTS: Must hold (or be working towards) Qualified Teacher Status.

• Right to Work: Must have the valid right to work in the UK.

Salary & Contract Details

• Salary Range: £40,317 – £62,496 (M1 – UPS3 Inner London)

• Hours: Full-time | Permanent | ASAP Start
